Arsenal have registered interest in taking the Barcelona summer signing Malcolm Filipe Silva de Oliveira on loan until the end of the season through the January transfer window.
According to Sport, The North London side are “The most interested club” in Malcolm. The Brazilian would be the perfect fit, albeit a temporary fix to the lack of an out and out winger at the Emirates this season. Despite Arsenal already being down to the bare bones in this department, it doesn’t seem to have affected them as they enter their Europa League clash against Sporting off the back of a 10 match winning streak.

Malcolm created more chances (87) than any other Under 23 player in Europe’s top five leagues last season, that was 21 more than second placed Dele Alli of Tottenham Hotspur. The Brazilian has grown frustrated with his lack of game time at the Nou Camp this season and a loan move could be the best option for all parties.
The recent injury to captain, Lionel Messi could be an obstacle to overcome as Malcolm is likely to receive more game time now whilst the Argentine is sidelined. Despite this, the sky is seemingly the limit for the 21-year-old and with the free flowing football the gunners play, the former Bordeaux forward could be the missing link for Unai Emery’s side.
